Author's POV:-
It was 9 PM when a man walked into his home, exhaustion evident in his every step. Loosening his tie, he headed straight to his room, eager to freshen up. Just as he began unbuttoning his shirt, a pair of warm arms wrapped around him from behind, making him pause in surprise.
“Aa gaye aap office se?” her soft voice reached his ears, laced with affection.
A small smile tugged at his lips. “Haan, bas abhi paanch minute hue hain. Tum batao, tumhari online class ho gayi?” He turned around, pulling her into a tight embrace, as if all his tiredness had melted away in an instant.
She nodded, placing her hand gently on his chest. “Haan, ho gayi.”
Her eyes twinkled mischievously as she grinned up at him. “Chaliye, aap jaldi fresh ho jaiye… today I’ve prepared your favorite dishes.” She playfully rested her chin against his chest.
His brows lifted in curiosity. “Acha? Kya banaya?” he asked, reaching out to tuck a stray lock of hair behind her ear, his touch lingering for a moment.
She shook her head teasingly. “Abhi nahi bataungi. You’ll find out when you eat.”
He chuckled, nodding like an obedient child. She watched him for a second before her fingers moved up to his cheek, caressing it gently.
“Bohot pressure hai na office mein, Dhiraj?” she asked, her voice laced with concern.
His smile faltered slightly. “Pressure toh hai… bohot hai. We’re working on a new project, Akansha. That’s why…” he trailed off, rubbing his forehead.
Her pout deepened. “Tumhare boss bohot khadoos hain na?”
He let out a small laugh brushing his nose with hers, “Kyun?”
“Itni raat tak kaam karwate hain mere pati se… dekho na, tumhara chehra kitna sukh gaya hai,” she complained, rubbing his face tenderly as if she could smooth away his stress.
His smile remained, but there was something thoughtful in his eyes. “Nahi, utni bhi khadoos nahi hain woh, Eesha… bas kabhi kabhi bohot confusing lagti hain mujhe.”
Flashback:-
It was one such day , Dhiraj is working in his cabin along with his one colleague, Rishi. When suddenly there is an announcement that boss Eesha is calling Dhiraj in her cabin.
Again.
Its been 8 times she is calling him just for minor purpose.
He sighed as both Rishi and Dhiraj look at each other.
Rishi chuckles , 'Itna baar toh humlogo k biwi bhi nahi bulate jitna tujhe boss bula rahe hain.kis cheez k liye bula rahe hain tujhe baar baar??'
Dhiraj shake his head, 'Kuch khas important nahi ..bas kabhi file dekhne k liye, kabhi kuch announcement k liye..kabhi presentation dekhne k liye..'
'Jaa phir dekke aa ..ab kis liye tujhe bula rahe hain' He said making him nod his head.
He went to her cabin by knocking at her door.
'Yes !! come in Dhiraj' A female voice could be hear.
'Yes mam did you call me?' Dhiraj asked politely as she was facing her back.
She turned around with a smile. She was wearing a which shirt paired up with black trousers. Her upper two buttons of the short is open making her deep cleavage visible to all. Her face is covered with huge tone of makeup. She is looking everything expect the word beautiful.
Even a buffalo is far more good looking than her 😒...
'How many times do I have to repeat for you Dhiraj?' she asked giving a stern look making him startle.
What he has done now?
'What ma'am ?I am not understanding' he asked confusingly.
Her lips then curved up into huge smile, 'That you don't have to knock at my door Dheeraj. You are always welcome whenever you want hmm??'
Dhiraj forced a polite smile, though unease settled in his gut. "Sorry, ma’am, but it’s basic office etiquette," he replied, keeping his voice neutral.
Eesha chuckled, her eyes scanning him in a way that made him feel but conscious "Formality doesn’t suit you, Dhiraj. You work so hard, and I want you to feel comfortable around me."
He ignored the last sentence, "Of course, ma’am. You called me for something?"
She tilted her head, pretending to think. "Oh, yes. But first have a sit. I just wanted your opinion on this report. I trust your judgment more than anyone else’s."
Dhiraj sighed internally. With no choice but to comply, he took a seat across from her, maintaining a professional demeanor. He took the file from her hands, quickly scanning through it. On the other hand She wasn’t looking at the file—she was looking at him.
He glanced up, only for her to immediately shift her focus back to the document, feigning interest.
"It looks fine, ma’am. Just a few minor adjustments—"
Before he could finish, she leaned forward slightly, her eyes gleaming with admiration. "You always impress me, Dhiraj."
He forced a polite smile. "Thank you, ma’am. If there’s nothing else, I’ll get back to work."
She held his gaze for a moment before nodding slowly, as if reluctant to let him go. "Of course. You may leave."
Dhiraj didn’t need to be told twice. He rose from his seat, his mind clouded with unease as he exited the room.
Flashback ends.
She frowned. “Aisa kyun?”
He hesitated for a moment before sighing. “Pata nahi, Akansha… kabhi bohot strict behave karti hain, aur kabhi over-friendly. Jaise ki maano tum unki bohut karebi dost ho” His brows furrowed as he tried to make sense of his own thoughts.
She let out a small laugh. “Tumhare boss pagal hain! Isiliye aise bipolar type behave karti hain.”
But he wasn’t laughing this time. Something about his boss’s behavior bothered him—a thought he couldn’t quite shake.
Sensing the shift in his mood, she cupped his face, making him look at her. “Acha chhodo ab tumhare boss ki baatein… now it’s our moment..” she whispered, pecking his lips lightly.
"Love you…" she murmured, her warm breath fanning against his lips before she kissed him deeply, her fingers threading into his hair.
His eyes fluttered shut, surrendering to the comfort of her touch, to the familiarity of her love. For a brief moment, he allowed himself to forget the storm brewing inside him—the unease, the confusion, the lingering discomfort at work.
For now, all that mattered was her.
After freshening up, Dhiraj walked into the dining area, his nose instantly catching the rich aroma of his favorite meal. Akansha had prepared butter naan and kadai paneer, accompanied by a small portion of rice and dal.
His eyes lit up like a child's, making Akansha chuckle.
"Ab khade kyun ho? Baith jao, pati dev… I know you’re starving. And today, I'll feed you with my own hands" she said playfully, picking up a piece of naan and feeding him the first bite.
As soon as the flavors hit his tongue, he let out a satisfied moan, closing his eyes.
She laughed at his reaction. "Kaise bane hain?" she teased as he pulled her on his lap so she could feed him properly.
Dhiraj looked at her with pure admiration. "Do you know you have magic in your hands?"
She rolled her eyes fondly, feeding him another bite. "Nahi, bas aapko aisa lagta hain…"
Smirking, he picked up a piece and held it near her lips. "Tumhe bhi toh bhook lagi hain na?"
Her heart warmed at his gesture as she took the bite from his hands, their love woven into each moment—simple, yet profound.
