Saina's POV:

"Aaj bhi kyun der kar rahe hain? 12 already baj chuke hain," I muttered, glancing at the clock yet again.

"Upar se phone bhi switch off... Aaj toh breakfast bhi nahi kiya, bas jaldi mein bol ke chale gaye office ke liye."

I sighed, staring at my phone. "Message bhejti hoon toh ek ka bhi jawab nahi aata," I murmured in frustration.

Just then, the doorbell rang. I rushed to open it and found him leaning against the wall, looking... different.

Something about him wasn't right. His tie hung loosely around his neck, the top two buttons of his shirt undone, revealing a hint of his collarbone. His posture seemed tired yet commanding.

He walked in without a word, his eyes fixed on me.

"Mera bag leke jaa sakti ho, Saina?" he asked softly, giving me a small, rare smile.

It was the first time he spoke to me like this-gentle, almost affectionate. The slight curve of his lips sent butterflies fluttering in my stomach.

I nodded quickly, returning his smile, and watched as he disappeared into the room.

"Sainaaaaaa!" he called out suddenly, his voice loud and urgent.

I froze. His tone startled me, but when I peeked inside, I froze for an entirely different reason.

There he was, standing bare-chested, the shirt discarded somewhere on the floor. My eyes widened-it was the first time I'd seen him like this.

"Mera t-shirt kahaan hai? Mujhe mil nahi raha. Dhoond dogi, pleassss?" he asked, his voice childlike, his lips forming a pout.

"H-haan... aap rukiye, main dekhti hoon," I stammered, my voice barely audible, and moved hesitantly toward the wardrobe.

Before I could open it, he grabbed my arm, pulling me close with a firm yet gentle grip, pinning me softly against the wall.

A sharp gasp escaped my lips, my breath hitching as his intense gaze locked with mine, rendering me motionless. I was caught, trapped in the magnetic pull of his eyes and the unyielding wall behind me.

My heart pounded erratically, each beat louder than the last as his presence enveloped me. His warm breath caressed my skin, igniting an unspoken tension that made my knees weak.

"Sameer... aa-ap yeh kya..." I stammered, my voice barely a whisper as I shyly averted my gaze, heat rising to my cheeks.

But as his lips hovered near mine, my trembling hand betrayed me, resting instinctively on his bare chest. The heat of his skin against my palm sent shivers down my spine, and the blush spreading across my face deepened. I was utterly undone, lost in the moment, unable to resist him.

His hand held my cheek urging me to look at him. But my smile slowly fades hearing his sentence..

Author's POV:-

"Tumhe pata hai, main kitna pyaar karta tha Jiya se," he whispered, a sad smile tugging at his lips, his eyes distant as if lost in another world.

Saina stared at him, confusion clouding her features, unsure of where this was going.

"Ohh, tum toh Jiya ko jaanti nahi ho... Jiya... mere Jiya... meri girlfriend," he continued, his voice softening with an unmistakable tenderness.

His lips curled up into a beautiful radiant smile.

Her heart clenched painfully as his words settled in.How she wished to see that smile for her.

She didn't know Jiya, but she could already see the amount of love radiating from his eyes.

"Wo tumse dikhne mein bahut alag hai," he added with a dreamy sigh.

"She is gorgeous.... lambi hai... gori hai... aur uski smile... hamesha mera din bana deti hain"

Each word was a dagger to Saina's heart, cutting deeper than the last. She felt something crack within her, an ache she hadn't anticipated. Her eyes stung, tears threatening to spill as she stared at the man she adored, oblivious to the storm his words had unleashed.

She wasn't tall, or not so fair, or someone whose smile lit up a room. In that moment, she felt small, insignificant-a shadow standing in the radiant glow of someone else's perfection.

A lump formed in her throat, the weight of her insecurities bearing down on her chest. I'll never be enough for him, her heart whispered cruelly.

She always yearned for the day when her husband would look at her with pride, showering her with the kind of praise that could melt her insecurities. Yet, here he was, his voice trembling as he spoke about another woman right infront of his wife.

Or should she say name sake wife?

Her trembling hands curled into tight fists at her sides, her knuckles pale, as she forced herself to stand still. Her body begged her to crumble, but she fought it, swallowing down the storm inside.

His tear-filled eyes looked lost, heavy with pain, as his voice cracked,

"Kitne sapne dekhe the... that we'd build our dream family together. Par usne mujhe chod diya... kisi aur ke liye." His words broke into sobs as he clung to her, his grief raw and suffocating.

She let him embrace her, his shoulders shaking against hers, but her heart felt hollow. She stood there-empty, numb-as though his agony had drained her of every ounce of emotion.

After what felt like an eternity, he collapsed onto the bed, his sobs fading into quiet exhaustion. He fell asleep almost instantly, but she remained rooted in place, her eyes fixed on the floor, blurred with tears that refused to stop.
