Sameer POV:

It's 6 a.m., earlier than my usual wake-up time, but today is special. Today, I want to surprise her with a gesture, no matter how small, to start rebuilding what I broke. As I sat up, I glanced at her sleeping figure. Her soft breaths filled the room, her delicate features bathed in the golden hue of the early morning light. I couldn't resist reaching out, my fingers gently brushing her hair away from her face.

"I know tum mujhe itne jaldi maaf nahi kar paogi...kam hi jo aisa kiya hai. But I promise...mein sab kuch karunga tumhe manane k liye aur tab tak karta rahunga jab tak tum mujhe maaf na kar do," I whispered, the weight of my words sinking deep into my chest.

But before anything else, there was something important I had to do-a final step to erase my past. Slowly, I got up and opened the wardrobe, pulling out a small box that contained remnants of my relationship with Jiya: the promise ring and the photographs we had clicked together. I stared at them for a long moment. They were once symbols of love, but now they felt like chains, holding me back from the future I wanted to build with Saina.

I shut the box with determination, vowing to let go of what no longer served me. Today would be a fresh start, for both of us.

Author's POV:

The morning sunlight streamed softly through the half-drawn curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. Saina lay peacefully on the bed, her body curled slightly toward Sameer's side. Her hair was tousled from sleep, framing her face in an unintentional elegance.

The door creaked open quietly, and Sameer entered with careful steps, balancing a tray with two steaming cups of coffee and a plate of cookies. He placed the tray gently on the bedside table, his movements deliberate, ensuring he didn't wake her too soon.

For a moment, he stood still, his gaze fixed on her serene face. Her long lashes cast delicate shadows on her cheeks, and a faint mole above her small, tomato-like nose made his lips curve into a soft smile. A few stray strands of hair fell across her face, and she stirred slightly, scratching her cheek in her sleep.

His eyes traveled to her hands, where faint mehendi patterns and the vibrant red chooda still adorned her wrists-a reminder of their new beginning, despite the challenges. He sat beside her and gently took her hand in his, tracing light, tender circles over her skin.

"Saina," he called softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

She didn't stir the first time, her sleep too deep. But when he called again, his voice slightly louder, her eyes fluttered open. Drowsy and confused, she blinked at him. As recognition dawned, her cheeks flushed, and she quickly sat up, startled by his presence.

Sameer chuckled warmly at her reaction. "Relax, kya hua? Dhire utho..." he said, his tone light and teasing.

Saina, now fully awake, tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, her cheeks still glowing with embarrassment. "Woh... aap aaj itni jaldi kaise uth gaye? Abhi toh saat bhi nahi baje," she asked, clutching the comforter tightly around her.

"Because I wanted to surprise you with morning coffee," he admitted, scratching the back of his neck, his nervous smile betraying his inexperience with such gestures.

Before she could respond, he reached for the tray and placed it in front of her. "Mom na dekh le, isliye jaldi bana laya. Pata nahi chini theek thak diya hai ki nahi," he added sheepishly, looking at her for reassurance.

Saina stared at the tray in surprise, her heart skipping a beat at the sight of his effort. She picked up the cup hesitantly and took a small sip, her expression softening as the warm liquid spread through her.

'Kaisa bana hain?' he asked nervously.

'Achi bani hain' she said softly, her voice barely audible, but it was enough for Sameer.

He let out a small sigh of relief, his lips curving into a genuine smile.

Sameer continued to watch her intently as she brought the cup to her lips, taking delicate sips of the coffee he had made.

Caught in his gaze, Saina paused and looked up at him, confused. "Aap bhi pijiye na," she said softly, tilting her head toward the untouched cup on the tray.

He shook his head with a gentle smile, his eyes filled with affection. "Pehle tum piyo...main baad mein piyunga," he replied, his voice steady yet tender, as though he wanted to savor this moment of watching her first.

After freshening up, Sameer called her to make the knot of his tie.

'Rukiye mujhe tool lane dijiye' she said.

Before she could move, he cut her off "No need for that," he said, bending down slightly so their faces were mere inches apart.

"Now you can manage, right?" he whispered, his voice soft yet teasing, his intense gaze locked onto hers.

Her breath hitched, and she avoided his eyes, focusing on the task at hand. Her fingers trembled as she worked to tie the knot, acutely aware of how close he was. His warmth, his scent-it all made her heart race uncontrollably.

When she finally finished, she stepped back slightly. "Done," she murmured, avoiding his gaze.

Sameer grinned, leaning in to place a soft, unexpected kiss on her forehead.

"Thanks," he said, his tone light but filled with a strange warmth.

She stood frozen, her cheeks flushed in surprise, as he grabbed his belongings and bid her goodbye with a quick wave before stepping out of the house.
