'What the hell???' Kriti shouted seeing them together in each other arms.
She stride towards Disha who pulled her up with hard force...
'Ma'am aahh dhire aa..' she cries in pain as her grip was too tight ..
Sahil too got up with the bed support..
'Kriti kya kar rahi ho tum.. already use lagi ha' he said ...
Disha already understood that she misunderstood the situation and before she could explain anything, she slapped her on her cheek..
Sahil eye's widened as he shouts, 'Krittiiiii!!!!!'
'Tumhari jaisi ek characterless aur badtameez ladki meine ajj tak nahi dekhi' kriti shouted angrily glaring at her hardly.
Disha held her cheek in pain...her eyes filled with tears..
'Tumhe kya lagti hain mujhe kuch samaj nahi ati tum kya karne ki koshish kar rahe ho? Kaise har waqt Sahil k paas ane ki bahana dhunte rahti ho? Haa?' she shouted on her...
Disha shook her head as tear falls out from her eyes, 'Aisa nahi hain ma'am.. trust me ...aap hi ne toh mujhe yaha jaane k liye kaha'
'Ohh ab sab dosh mujhpe utar rahi ho?? Haa?? Tum Sahil ko ullu bana sakte ho par mujhe nahi Disha' she chuckles darkly.
Disha's eyes filled with shame in front of Sahil.
Not able to tolerate anymore Sahil just pulled Kriti harshly by her arm,
'Tumhe ho kya gaya hain kriti ?? Kya bole jaa rahe ho kabse?? She accidentally fall from this stool by taking out this file ..why are you insulting her like this???'
Kriti glared at him as she freed her arm from his clutch before giving a mocking laugh, 'Bohut daya aarahi hain na iss larki pe haa?? Ohh mein kaise bhul sakti ho ..akhir tum bhi toh ek mard hi ho afterall ..tumhse kya bolu??'
Sahil looks at her in disbelief.
'Tumhe bhi toh yeh sab enjoy karte ho hain na Sahil?? Bohut maza ati hain na use apne baho mein lene ka ?? Tumhe kyu problem hoga bhala??' she asked.
Listening to him, he just chuckles looking down before looking at her.He started laughing shaking his head.
Both Disha and Kriti shocked seeing him like this.
'Tum has kyu raho ho?' kriti ask him.
He stopped laughing.
'Soch raha hu kisk muhh se yeh sab sun raha hun..yahi baki tha sunne k liye ab ..jo khud kisi aur larke k sath raat din ghumti phirti rahti hain...jo khud ek characterless larki hain woh kisi aur ko characterless bol rahi hain..kamal karti ho Kriti' he said.
Kriti look at him confusingly, 'Kya bolne ki koshish kar rahe tum haa?? Saaf saaf bolo na'
Dish looks at him. Her cheeks are soaked with tears.
'Mein sayad pure din ghar mein rehak kaam karta hun ...par yeh mat sochna ki mere aas paas kya hota mujhe khabar nahi rahta..tum kisse milti ho..kaha rehati ho itni der raat tak...kisk sath rehati ho... mujhe sab Khabar rahata hain kriti..woh kya naam hain uska Vansh hain na??' he asked with a sad smile.
Kriti looked at him with widen eyes. Her face become pale hearing him out.
He walked slowly with the crutch and took the red file from the ground and took out some bunch of papers.
'Ye lo..' he said handing her the papers.
'Yeh kya hain?' she asked..
He smile, 'Wahi jo tumhe zaroorat hai..wahi jo mujhe bohut pehale hi dena chahiye tha..par humesha mere dil ne mujhe rok liya tha aisa karne mein...socha tha ki sayad ek din mujhe tum apna logi par nahi mein hi galat tha...DIVORCE PAPERS'
'Divorce pa..per' she murmurs.
Disha doesn't know what to do there between husband and wife.
'Hmmm...meine already sign kar diye hai..tum sign kar lo...and you'll be free from this relation' he said..
'Sayad mere andar hi koi kami reha gaya hai .. isliye aj tak tumne kabhi mujhe apna nahi paaye shaadi k baad..' he said as his eyes glistens with tears.
'kami???' she chuckles..
'Mein bolk hi itne din tumhare sath rahi ...naukro ki tarah kaam karti thi rahi..tumhe wife ki nahi ek 24 hours caretaker ki zarurat hain...koi aur larki hoti na meri jagah kab tumhe chork chale jata...mein bolk hi itne din tiki..'
He looks at her. He gulps down the pain..
'Pata nahi mummy papa ne kya dekha tumme ki mujhe tumhare sath shaadi karwa diya..khud toh chal nahi paata dhaang se, humesha kahi na kahi girte rehate ho.woh mujhe kya dekke rakhega..mujhe bhi koi shauk nahi hain tumhare jaise ek cripple k sath rehane ka..kisi kaam k nahi ho ...nah bahar se na anda...' she scoffed without completing the sentence..
Her last sentence hit him like a knife pierced through his soul.
With that she signed the papers and throw it on his chest leaving from there..
Disha stood frozen, watching the man in front of her.
Sahil remained motionless, his eyes staring at the floor-empty, hollow.
Not a single tear escaped his eyes.
Disha felt an unbearable pain in her heart as she watched him. She wanted to comfort him, to wrap her arms around him and tell him that he wasn't alone.
But she couldn't find the courage to do it.
With hesitant steps, she moved closer to him. "I-I'm s-sorry, s-sir... meri waja se aapko itna kuch sunna pada," she sobbed, her voice trembling. Just as she was about to fold her hands in apology, Sahil gently grasped them, shaking his head.
"It's not your fault, Disha... why are you apologizing?" he said softly. "What was bound to happen sooner or later just happened in front of you today."
Disha stared at him, unable to process the weight of his words.
"This is the first time you're witnessing something like this, so it's hurting you," he continued with a bitter smile. "But for me... this isn't the first time. I've been through this over and over again since the day I married her."
His gaze drifted toward the window as he exhaled deeply. "You know, Kriti... I did everything I could to make her happy. Whatever was in my power, I did it all. But she never gave me any importance. After all, I'm just a cripple to her, right? Always needing help for the smallest things."
Disha wiped her tears as they continued to fall relentlessly.
"No, sir... none of this is your fault," she said, her voice firm despite the pain in her chest.
"You didn't choose this. It was an accident."
Sahil turned to look at her, his eyes hollow, burdened with years of silent suffering.
She nodded, stepping closer. "You think she never loved you because of your disability, don't you? You think that if you were normal, she wouldn't have cheated on you?"
Sahil clenched his fists, his silence speaking louder than words.
"But you're wrong, sir," Disha whispered. "Even if this accident had never happened... even if you were completely fine... she still would have betrayed you."
"People who have the tendency to cheat don't need a reason to do it," she said, her voice laced with conviction.
"They'll do it anyway. She's just using this as an excuse to make you feel guilty... but the truth is, the fault was never yours."
He listened to her silently, his expression unreadable, before finally speaking.
"Go home early today, Disha. Okay?" His voice was calm, but there was something off about it. "I have to go somewhere."
Disha frowned, sensing something amiss. "At this hour? And all of a sudden?" she asked, doubt creeping into her voice.
He simply hummed in response, neither confirming nor denying anything.
She let out a small sigh but didn't press further. "I've prepared both lunch and dinner for you... please make sure to eat on time, sir," she requested softly.
He gave a small nod.
Disha hesitated for a moment, clutching her bag tightly. She didn't want to leave him alone, not when she could see the turmoil he was trying so hard to hide. But she had no choice.
With one last glance at him, she turned toward the door, her heart heavy with worry.
