Avni's POV:-

I looked at the mirror. In one hand I have navy blue saree and on the other hand I have yellow netted salwar suit..

'Kaunsa pehanu??' I asked myself as both of the dress is confusing..

'TU ABHI TAK READY NAHI HUI AVNI??' a voice startled me from behind as I see di is standing there..

I shook my head glancing back at the mirror ...

'10 already baj gayi hai Avni.. woh log aate hi honge...kyu late kar rahi hain??' she started scolding me..

'Toh aane dijiye na ... baethe rahenge niche sofe pe...Kaunse VIP log hain ??' I asked rolling my eyes..

Author's POV:-

Ashi shook her head in disbelief.

'Aap unlogo ki baat choriye aur mujhe ye bataiye ...ki mein kaunsa dress pehanu ..ye wali yah ye wali??' Avni asked showing her the two dress in her hands..

'Kyu yeh saree pehan lena ..bohut achi lagegi dikne mein' she said with a smile..

'Toh aap mujhe help kar doh yeh saree pehnane mein..mein achi tarah se nahi pehan paungi' she grins..

Ashi sighed, 'Jaa blouse aur petticoat pehan le pehale ..mein saree drape kar dungi'

She nods her head and later on she helps her in wearing the saree ...giving her some light makeup with blue bindi , earrings , one pendant and lastly makes her hair in a tight bun..

'Bohut pyaari lag rahi hain' she said satisfied by her overall look..

Avni smiled slightly.. because inside she is feeling slight nervousness..

'Tu ab baedh yaha...jab woh aajayenge..main tujhe bula lungi ok? She said softly cupping her both cheeks..

She was about to leave when she held her hand ..

She frowns asking what happened..

'Dii pata nahi kyu mujhe bohut darr lag rahi hain..' she murmurs letting out her fear..

She sat beside her as she took her in a warm hug..

'Vihaan bohut hi acha larka hain Avni....tere jiju aur papa already ek do baar phone pe baat Kiya hain usse.I am sure tujhe bhi woh larka pasand ayega' she said..

'Aur ek baat batau??' she whisper into her ear ..

'Vihaan dikhne mein bohut handsome hain' she teases the last part making her slightly blush..

'Kya aap bhi na dii..' she blushingly looks down ..

She laughs, 'Tension mat le..mein niche dekke aati hu'

She nods her head as she leaves from her room..

'Mere sath rehana bhagwan ji' she murmurs looking outside the window..

Downstairs..

Vihaan and his family reached. Both of families greeted each other. He took blessings from them by touching their feet.

'Khush raho beta'

He couldn't help but started glancing every corner of the house for seeing that one person,he is eagerly waiting for.

'Ashi beta jao , Avni ko niche lekar aao' Mrs Mehra ask her to  which she nodded and goes upstairs to bring her down..

Hearing her name, his heart already started beating rapidly.

Mr Mehra started asking questions about his job to which he answered sincerely.

His eyes suddenly drifted to that person who is coming down through stairs..

Avni POV:-

Dii started guiding me through the stairs. I could feel three people were sitting at the sofa..All of there eyes were on me..

'Beta, jaa andar kitchen mein sabke liye chaaye aur snacks rakhe hue hain..woh leke aaja' mumma whispers me to my ear..

As I was serving the tea to each one by one..I could constantly feel one pair of eyes on me. I served him chai ...and in respond he whispers me quick thank you..

I then stand beside dii as elderly people were talking...

My eyes drifted to him and only one thought came to my mind..

'Kitna lamba hain ye aadmi..' I murmurs to myself.

He was wearing a crisp light blue shirt that hugged his broad shoulders perfectly, paired with well-fitted black pants that accentuated his tall, lean frame. The first two buttons of his shirt were left undone, giving a glimpse of his sculpted collarbone. His jet-black hair was styled to perfection with gel, each strand falling into place effortlessly, adding to his devilishly handsome aura.

A silver watch adorned his wrist, glinting under the soft lighting, and the faint scent of his cologne—rich, woody, and undeniably masculine—lingered in the air around him.

He laughed at something Mumma said, his deep, husky voice filling the space, making my heart stumble. His smile was breathtaking—his slightly uneven yet perfect teeth adding to his charm, and the way his dimples deepened made my heart do a somersault.

Haaye, yeh banda toh haste hue bhi kitna pyaara lag raha hai, my heart commented shamelessly.

But before I could process my thoughts, his gaze accidentally met mine. Those dark, hypnotic eyes locked onto me, holding a hint of amusement. My breath hitched. Heat crawled up my cheeks as I realized just how shamelessly I had been gawking at him. I quickly looked away, but not before catching the faint curve of his lips—he had smiled at me.

My stomach flipped, and I bit my lip, trying to suppress the giddy feeling bubbling inside me.

Author's POV:-

Both Vihaan and Avni's parents decided to give some alone time  if anything they want to ask each other.

Ashi took them to the terrace so that they could talk freely with each other and leave from there..

Avni stands there awkwardly don't know how to start the conversation whereas he just admiring her beauty..

'Aap khare kyu hain baedh jaiye' she said hesitantly..

He smiles obeying her, 'Toh tum kyu khare ho?? Tum bhi  baedh jao'

She nods her head sitting beside him.

Vihaan’s eyes wandered across the small terrace garden, admiring the different types of potted plants arranged neatly in rows. The delicate petals of vibrant roses, the cheerful yellow of sunflowers, and the lush green leaves of various shrubs created a serene and refreshing atmosphere. A faint floral fragrance lingered in the air, carried by the gentle evening breeze.

He crouched slightly, tracing a finger over the soft petals of a deep red rose, his lips curling into an appreciative smile. “Yeh sab plants tumne lagaye hain?” he asked, his voice carrying a hint of admiration.

Avni’s face lit up instantly, her eyes gleaming with excitement. “Haan! Mujhe aur meri dii ko gardening ka bohot shauk hai. Naye naye plants ugane ka ek alag hi maza hai,” she gushed, glancing at her little sanctuary with pride.

Vihaan chuckled, standing back up. “Mujhe bhi plants lagana bohot pasand hai. Ek time tha jab maine bhi kaafi plants grow kiye the,” he said with a wistful smile, his fingers brushing against a lavender plant. “Par… meri 24-hour busy schedule aur raat ki emergencies ki wajah se ab time nahi milta.”

Avni’s brows knitted together. “Emergency?” she asked, her curiosity piqued.

He nodded, looking at her. “Haan, raat ko bhi mujhe emergency ke liye jaana padta hai. You know how doctor life works, right? Humare paas proper rest ka bhi time nahi hota.”

The words hit Avni like a sudden cold wave, and her bright smile slowly faded. The warmth in her eyes dimmed as reality sank in.

Vihaan noticed the shift in her expression and chuckled softly, tilting his head. “Kya hua? Tum aise kyun pooch rahi ho?” he asked, amused by her reaction.

Avni hesitated for a moment before standing up abruptly, her mind clouded with thoughts. “Aap IT sector mein job karte hain na?” she asked, her voice firm, skipping all unnecessary conversation.

Vihaan frowned, caught off guard by her direct question. He stood up as well, his confusion evident. “IT sector? Nahi toh… Didn’t your family tell you what my profession is?”

Avni’s breath hitched slightly as she looked at him, her heart pounding against her ribs.

“I am a doctor, Avni,” he said, his voice calm yet clear. “I am a gynecologist by profession. Dr. Vihaan Reddy.” He smiled, as if expecting her to be impressed or at least acknowledge it.

But instead of admiration, shock flickered across Avni’s face.

“Toh aap pehle kyun nahi bataye ki aap ek doctor hain?” she asked, her voice rising slightly, disbelief evident in her tone.

Vihaan blinked, taken aback. “Come on, Avni. I thought you already knew I was a doctor,” he said with an easygoing chuckle, taking a step closer to her. “Isiliye maine zyada baat nahi ki. Kyu? Koi problem hai?”

The way he asked it so casually only made her stomach twist further.

Yes, there was a problem.

A problem she couldn’t ignore.

She shook her head looking away, 'Aap please niche chaliye...aur please sabko bata dijiye ki aap mujhse shaadi nahi kar sakte ...koi bhi reason de dijiye..' she said taking few steps back in fear..

'Akhir kyu Avni ??' he asked shockingly..

'Kyuki mein nahi karni chahti apse shaadi.. meri baat nahi sunege woh log...aap bolenge toh woh log maan jayenge...please chaliye..'

'Par baat toh batao kya reason hain?? Kyu nahi karni chahti tum mujhse shaadi ??' he asked ..

She looks away embarrassingly. If she tell him that just because she is scared of doctors, she doesn't want to marry him,he will not listen to her..

'Kyu mujhe aap pasand nahi ho..' she lied because she also knows she started liking him..

He raised his eyebrows catching her lies easily..

'Is that so?! Mujhe toh aisa nahi lagta?' he asked crossing his arms..

Her eyes widened and cheek flushed with redness. She then looks at him angrily ..

'Aapko jo bola jaa raha hain..woh kijiye na..kyu aap baat ko bara rahe hain khamaka??' she asked ..

He chuckles as she is looking adorable in anger ..and her height..ufff..it just perfect for him because she is not even reach his shoulder..

'Chaliye abb ...aur khabardar iss rishte k liye haa kiya toh mujhse bura koi nahi hoga' she warns him by showing her finger.

He just nods his head like a obedient child.

Downstairs, all were waiting for there answers...if they liked each other or not?? Will they agrees for the marriage or not..

Avni is just looking at him waiting for him to say no for this marriage...

He looks at her and smirked internally..

'Mom ,dad we don't have any problem with this marriage...we are ready' he said dropping the bomb..

Avni'a eyes widened and she parted her mouth in shock..

What the hell????
