After five years…

Author's POV:

Avijeet hovered over his wife in the dimly lit bathroom, his lips capturing hers in a deep, passionate kiss. His hands roamed over her body before one palm gently cupped her firm breast, eliciting a sharp hiss from her.

“Ahh… dhire, Avii,” she moaned softly, her brows furrowing. “It’s really getting sore badly…”

He immediately pulled back, his forehead creased with concern as his gaze searched hers.

“Tumne pehle kyun nahi batayi mujhe?” he asked, his voice laced with worry.

A playful chuckle left her lips as she lightly slapped his cheek..

“It’s normal in pregnancy, Avii… nothing to worry about,” she reassured him before pulling him back into another kiss.

He sighed against her lips, kissing her with even more tenderness. Slowly, he guided her back against the cool bathroom wall, his fingers tracing her curves with reverence. But before he could go any further—

A loud, urgent voice shattered the moment.

“Mumaaaaaaa!!!!!”

She gasped, her eyes widening in shock, while Avijeet groaned in sheer frustration, resting his forehead against her shoulder.

'Aa gayi tumhara chamcha aur woh bhi galat time pe. Pata nahi bhagwan kis Janam ka badla le rahe mujhse' he mutters making her slap him lightly.

'Yeh sab chodiye aur yeh bataiye ab hum kya kare?? Mein aise bahar nahi jaa sakta ..aap chale jaiye mein baadme aati hu' she said in tensed voice.

'Haa mein toh aise aaram se jaa sakta hu na??' he asked giving a knowing look.

She glares at him, 'Toh meine aapko pehale hi mana kiya tha ki abhi yeh sab start mat kijiye..kian kabi bhi school se wapas aa sakta hain.. kabhi sunte hain meri baat??' Her tone was stern, but the slight blush on her cheeks gave her away.

He pouts sadly but she rolled her eyes shoving him near the door, 'Jaiye na ab bahar..kabse mera bacha bula rahe hain mujhe'

'Mein samaj gaya tum mujhe aur pyaar nahi karte jaan...sirf apne bete ko pyaar karte ho' he cries dramatically.

'Haa nahi karti pyaar mein aapse ...' she said and then mutters slowly.

'Isliye toh aur ek baar aap papa banne wale hain kuch mahine baad'

His lips twitched, and then a wide grin spread across his face. Chuckling softly, he finally stepped out, his frustration long forgotten.

Coming out of the washroom, Avijeet saw his little son running around the house, searching frantically for his mother.

"Mummaa!!! Mummaaa!!!" he shouted at the top of his lungs, his tiny feet pattering across the floor.

His eyes suddenly landed on his father, who was standing near the washroom, clad in nothing but a towel.

Tilting his head in curiosity, he narrowed his eyes. "Papa... Mumma kaha hain? Aapne dekha unhe?" he asked, scanning him from head to toe with a suspicious expression.

Avijeet, slipping his arms into his shirt, shook his head. "Nahi beta, maine toh nahi dekha... hogi kahin kitchen ya store room mein."

The little one huffed, crossing his arms. "Maine dekh liya, kahin bhi nahi hain!"

Avijeet let out a small chuckle. "Phir hogi kahin... kaha jayegi tumhari Mumma? Shayad pados ke ghar gayi hain."

His son, however, wasn't convinced. Squinting his eyes, he leaned forward slightly. "Aap jhooth toh nahi bol rahe? Ya phir phir se aapne meri Mumma aur chotu baby ko pareshan kiya, jisse ki woh aapke darr se Isha aunty ke ghar chali gayi?" he questioned, his tiny brows raised in accusation.

Meanwhile, inside the washroom, Aarushi struggled to hold back her laughter. She pressed a hand over her mouth, her eyes glistening with amusement.

"Aww, mera baccha... Mumma ke baare mein kitna sochta hai," she thought affectionately, her heart swelling with love.

Avijeet, on the other hand glares at him  before flashing a wide smile. "Arre baba, main jhooth kyun bolunga? Main toh abhi abhi office se aaya hoon! Ruko, main tumhari Mumma ko phone karta hoon... tab tak aap muh haath dho lijiye, hmm?"

Yet, his son remained unconvinced, staring at him with unwavering suspicion.

Avijeet raised a brow. "Ab kya?"

The little boy crossed his arms and gave him a once-over. "Toh aap sirf towel mein kya kar rahe hain?" he questioned, his tiny eyes filled with doubt.

'I have taken a shower that's why..' he said before muttering,

'Pata nahi yaha baap kaun hain aur beta..' shaking his head at his son's relentless questioning.

The little boy, however, seemed satisfied with the answer and gave a small nod. He turned to leave, but then suddenly changed his mind and made a beeline for the washroom.

Avijeet was just about to button up his shirt when his eyes widened in panic.

"Nahiiii!!!" he shouted, making his son jump in shock.

The little boy clutched his chest dramatically. "Arre, kya hua papa?!  dara diya mujhe !" he asked, looking at his father with wide, confused eyes.

Avijeet quickly composed himself, clearing his throat. "Tum washroom kyun jaa rahe ho?" he asked, trying to keep his voice calm.

His son blinked. "Fresh hone?" he said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Then, chuckling, he added, "Aap bhi na, papa!"

Avijeet let out a nervous laugh before shaking his head. "Nahi, tum iss wale washroom mein mat jao... guest room wale washroom use karo," he instructed, subtly blocking the door with his body.

The boy frowned, tilting his head. "Par kyun?" he asked, curiosity sparking in his big, innocent eyes.

He let out an exaggerated sigh and said, "Kyunki yaha mere office ke dirty clothes rakhe hain. Bohot gandh hai beta... mujhe unhe dhona hai, toh tum doosre washroom chale jao."

The little one made a face, scrunching his nose. "Eww, dirty clothes? Theek hai theek hai. I am going to another one" he said, dramatically waving his hand in front of his nose before running off towards the guest room.

He sighed in relief and Aarushi came outside laughing loudly by wearing one of his loose shirt.

'Bohut hasi aa rahi hain na??' he asked.

She nods her head holding her baby bump, 'Ab hasi aa rahi hain mein kya karu Avi??'

Seeing her laughing freely, he too laughed with her.

It was night when Aarushi is now laying on bed with Kian in the middle. She was reading a story for her two babies. Avijeet is working on the laptop.

Kian is listening to her intently when the baby in her stomach kicks suddenly.

'Mummaa!!! see chotu baby kicked on my hand' he shouted excitedly.

Both Aarushi and Avijeet smiled at his reaction. It was the first time he is experiencing all this

'Haa bacha, baby ko pata hain  na unke bare bhaiya  unke paas hain isliye' she said brushing his hair from his forehead.

'Par mumma chota baby is a boy or a girl?' he asked innocently.

'Aapko kya chahiye?? Baby brother or a sister??' she asked.

'Baby sister!!!' he screamed.

'And then we will too take her in our group and leave papa alone' he grins naughtily making Avijeet whines like a kid.

'Aisa nahi kehta bacha, unhe bhi toh bura lagte hain na?' she said lovingly.

'Par mumma papa tried to hurt you' he said making her shake her head.

'Nahi bacha he didn't hurt me'

But he argues, 'But I saw mumma yesterday in kitchen , he bite your neck like an animal'

She closed her eyes in embarrassment.

'Meine kaha na kian ..he didn't hurt me...aapne jo bhi dekha galat dekha bacha..do you really think papa will hurt your mumma??' she asked him.

He didn't reply anything.

'Acha ek baat batao agar aapke papa ne mujhe hurt kiya ..toh mujhe pain hoti na ?? Toh I would have screamed and shout?' she asked making him bobbed his head.

'So did I shout at that time?' she asked making him shake his head.

Avijeet bit back his smile.

'Haa because your papa loves you and your mummy very much baby?? He can never hurt us ..Understand??' she said kissing his forehead.

He slowly nodded his head.

'Chalo now ask your papa to come to bed to sleep. He will only listen to you' she said nudging him.

He looks at his papa who is acting like he is working on laptop.

"Papa... sone aa jaiye," Kian's soft voice broke the silence, making him smile.

He nodded, eyes filled with warmth. "Ek minute bas, aa raha hoon, bacha."

With that, he shut his laptop and climbed onto the bed. The moment he settled, Kian silently crawled onto his belly, resting his little head against his chest.

"Sorry, Papa..." he murmured, his tiny fingers clutching Avijeet’s shirt.

A gentle smile graced Avijeet’s lips as he ran a soothing hand over his son's back.

"It’s okay, soja, mera bacha," he whispered, pressing a tender kiss to his forehead.

Within moments, Kian's breathing evened out, lost in peaceful slumber. Avijeet carefully shifted him to the middle of the bed, his gaze drifting to Aarushi, who had already succumbed to sleep. A soft sigh escaped him as he bent down, pressing a delicate kiss to her baby bump.

"Good night, my little princess," he whispered, a serene joy filling his heart before he, too, drifted into the embrace of sleep.
